Story
First, Who We Are: A Full-Service Interior Design and Property Styling Company
We love design, clearly. Both of our founders, husband and wife duo Shanty and Joe Weaven, are themselves designers. So we get it. Really.
We are a no-bullshit design studio based in Brisbane, Australia. And by no bullshit, I mean we are a family-run business that works very closely with each client in an open and honest way. We do not use stupid, pretentious words to describe our work; it looks good, and it feels good, simple as that.
Alllllllll the way back in 2022...
Shanty Weaven was pregnant, and at the time, she also had a small interior design and styling business called SLC Design servicing Brisbane clients.

Then in 2023...
A (Very) Brief History of Haus of Gray.

Shanty had her baby, and they named him Grayson, Gray for short. And thus, Haus of Gray was also born. During this time, they had moved and were living in a rural town outside Rockhampton. But at that time, there simply was no market for design work in the area. So they moved back to Brisbane.
Now in 2024...
Joe convinced Shanty to go into business together. And from there, Joe used his operations experience to streamline the backend of the design process, a process that is notoriously clunky, allowing Shanty to focus on her incredible designs. The business finally started to take off with multiple clients on the go each month.
And then in 2025...

Joe expanded the services beyond interior design and styling and into turnkey Airbnb packages. This expanded the business to a whole new clientele, from owner-occupiers with their interior design to investors with their rental and Airbnb packages.
Then 2026 comes knocking...
And Haus of Gray began to receive a large number of enquiries from real estate agents around staging their properties. Joe quickly jumped on this and, alongside Shanty as the lead designer, created a full-scale property styling service for the company. During this busy time of growth and expansion, they also welcomed their second little boy to this world, Beckett.
