Blackwood is a thoughtfully designed architectural renovation from Bones Studio that seamlessly merges the charm of an older home in Salisbury with the elegance of modern contemporary living. This project reimagines the traditional structure, enhancing its functionality while introducing a striking yet harmonious contrast between old and new. Our job - to blend the edges between the two with a beautiful selection of hard and soft furnishings.
Entry & Dining Room
At the heart of Blackwood is a stunning open kitchen and dining space, where modern minimalist cabinetry contrasts beautifully with handcrafted elements and organic décor. The transition from the original home to the new living areas is subtle yet intentional, maintaining a balance between heritage and innovation.
Lounge Room
The renovation embraces open-plan living, featuring a sophisticated palette of natural textures, warm wood tones, and soft neutral furnishings. Expansive glass openings invite abundant natural light and create a seamless connection to the lush outdoor space. Carefully selected materials and furnishings—such as plush curved seating, rich timber accents, and statement artwork—add depth and character, ensuring that the contemporary additions feel inviting rather than stark.
Hallway
The hallway in Blackwood serves as a serene and minimalist transition space, embodying the essence of modern simplicity.
